Paul Dober, Senior Environmental Business Analyst; American Electric Power Co. Inc.

 

Paul Dober Sr

Paul Dober is a Senior Environmental Business Analyst in ES&H Management System Group at American Electric Power Co. Inc. (AEP). His responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, training, architecting, project management and supporting the Management Environmental Safety & Health (MESH) System.  He is also involved with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Emission, Fuel and Plant Information data integrations, mobile platform
adoption and new ES&H application review.

 

Mr. Dober has a long standing career in the Electric Utility Industry with 35 years’ experience in fossil, gas and nuclear generation including 13 years in environmental services, seven years in information technologies and ten years in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to working in environmental and engineering groups, he has a strong background in application development, numerous program languages and database design.

Dina Kuykendal, Director of Environmental Affairsr; Baker Hughes Inc.

 

Dina Kuykendal

Dina Kuykendall is the Director of Environmental Affairs at Baker Hughes, with global responsibility for environmental programs, the HSE audit program and sustainability reporting. Her leadership of environmental programs includes: setting environmental goals, promoting proactive environmental improvements, reporting key performance indicators and strategic remediation. She also is responsible for ISO 14001 certifications, the development of sustainability/HSE engineering standards for Real Estate and sustainability reporting.

 

Ms. Kuykendall has held a corporate HSE role at Baker Hughes for the last ten years. Her previous roles include Environmental and HSE MS Manager for Baker Hughes’ chemical business and a QHSE role at a chemical blending facility.

 

She previously worked for Exxon Energy Chemicals and Petrolite Corporation in technical roles. She is a graduate of the University of New Orleans.

Laura Scott, Manager Environmental Business; NRG Energy Inc.

 

Laura Scott is an Environmental Manager in the corporate Environmental Compliance and Sustainability program for NRG Energy, the largest competitive electricity generator in the United States and a leading retail provider of electricity and energy services. NRG generates about 46,000 megawatts from a diverse portfolio of solar, wind, nuclear, coal and gas facilities at over100 locations, supporting the needs of over 40 million homes nationwide.

 

Her responsibilities include the development and implementation of strategies to share environmental best management practices and improve environmental performance and sustainability across NRG generating plants and support “econrg” the company’s initiative for environmentally responsibility.

 

Ms. Scott obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education from Sam Houston State University and Master of Science in Environmental Management from University of Maryland University College.

Tony Shea, Director, Environmental Compliance; NRG Energy Inc.

 

Tony Shea

Tony Shea is the Director of Environmental Compliance at NRG Energy Inc., where his group manages environmental compliance programs, focusing in particular on the company’s fleet of fossil-fueled and renewable power generation facilities. This includes development and implementation of NRG’s environmental policies and procedures, performance metrics and audits.

 

Mr. Shea has 20 years of experience in environmental compliance and the power generation industry. Prior to joining NRG in 2006, he managed environmental issues during the development of power generation facilities around the world at ABB Energy Ventures and worked as an environmental consultant with ENVIRON International Corp.
